First of all we'd like to welcome you all to this Placebo forum.  

The rules here are simple.

Respect
We expect you to respect eachother and the people running this forum. So no flaming of each other.

Do not air your dirty laundry in the forum
You failed on the respect part and now got issues with someone else? Swallow it down. No one wants to see your outbursts in here.

No sharing of private information about the band
Sharing the bands addresses or phonenumbers will not be allowed.

No pornographic images
Needs no explanation.

No Self harm pictures
It's ok to discuss self harm here but pictures of your wounds or those of others aren't allowed. With discussing it we mean talking about why you do it and stuff like that. Not talking about what kind of cuts you made and what shape and size they are. IT'S NOT COOL.

No "I'm bored topics"!
Or those will be closed by the moderators.

No double IDs
1 username is more than enough.
You make another account and get caught insulting others, both your ids will be deleted without thinking twice!!!

Up- and downloading files
Please keep the uploading and sharing of Placebo stuff to an absolute minimum!
In 90% of the cases it isn't even necessary to upload stuff for others -it is a really nice act- but almost everything is available on common p2p programs. Try these before you ask for videos or mp3s here. Use email or msn.
We do not want to annoy you with that. Please understand that uploading copyright protected data is simply illegal (and so is downloading it).

Signatures
Only signatures with ONE picture are allowed. Furthermore this picture is not allowed to be larger than 150 pixels high and 300 pixels wide. Please remove/resize your pictures if they are larger.
Users who do have too big signatures will be contacted by pm. Please make sure you stick to that rule it is necessary - not everybody got a high speed internet connection and if everybody has big signatures reading the threads won't be a pleasure anymore.

These are just the basic rules here. The most important thing is that everyone here has a good time. If someone is kicked out of the forum those rules were grossly disregarded. We try to be as easy going as possible but we need your help for that aswell.

Help each other out, and if you see something you think needs our attention i.e. threads in wrong forums, rude or offensive messages, shot designs and bugs please pm one of the moderators and we'll take care of it.

We all need to work together to make this place a comfortable, fun home.

What to post where
We do have a Brian, a Stef, a Steve and a band sticky thread. please use those to share your pics. if you open a thread just to share a pic - we will close it.

Allowed are threads that deal with a certain topic: "Brian's trousers", "Brian's belly", "Brian's whatever they may be" .... same for Steve, Stef and band.

Live pics from certain gigs - you know it - they belong into the "On Stage" area.

Searching for pictures
You need bigger versions or look for a pic you've seen once and can't find anymore? Please use the "searching for pics" sticky thread and the other members will help you.

The Brian Molko of the month
Some pics out of the Brian Molko picture thread will take part in the "Brian of the month picture" competition. Please understand that not every pic can take part. We try to take pics that are: good quality, Brian without the other members, pictures that haven't taken part in former competitions. We furthermore always try to take one picture of every Brian-episode into the competition (we don't need a pure mullet-competition). Pictures of Brian that are not posted into the Brian Molko sticky thread cannot take place.

So watch out for the Brian Molko of the month stickies!

The Brian Molko thread will be refreshed every month when the competition is over. The others won't be refreshed.

If you ask yourself why we do have a Brian competition but not one for the other members or one for the whole band, well, we would not disagree in having other polls aswell but it is already a lot work to have those Brian competitions. Once this idea was born and we kept doing it. On the other hand in fact there do exist more Brian pictures than any else pictures.

The Trading Area

You may NOT sell bootlegs or any other placebo stuff here. do not make advertisments for your Placebo stuff you sell for money!

Also not allowed are announcements if you put certain things into ebay or any similar.

If someone doesnt have anything to trade it is only allowed to demand a contribution towards expenses.

This forum is not a platform for commercial use of Placebo articels!
In short: making money with Placebo is not allowed here!
A hint: If you want to sell stuff, put it on ebay - the forum users do check ebay regularly themselves for Placebo stuff. So there is no need to advertise it here.


All post that do not meet those rules will not be closed but deleted.

The article list is now *finished*. I´ll frequently update it, but I need your help. So it would be a very big help for me when you would send me a pm after posting a new article. It´ll help me with updating the list faster and easier. Otherwise it might happen that I don´t see the new articles [105]

Please put your placebo related art (fanfictions/fanart) into Beauty lies inside and non placebo realted art into with artistic licence [1].

Don't post here unless you're open to critizism.

I'm urging everyone to give their honest opinion and to post helpful comments so the artist will know how they can improvetheir work.

Please be tactful. It's ok to not like something but we won't allow flaming of other people's work. If you don't like something, please explain why and don't just say something like: "I hate it you suck." Posts like that will be deleted instantly.

Your Pics

- When you want to post a picture in the picture section you put your username as the subject title.
So I was to open a new thread it would say 'Diana'.

- When you already have your own topic or you have new pics (of you on a holiday in example) then just name the tread "Username in Spain". Something like that. The "put your name in the topic title' rule is there to avoid situations like we had with Paris_Valentine a while ago.

- There WILL be a pinned camwhores thread where you can post your picture (if you don't want to have a topic of your own) but you are NOT, I repeat NOT allowed to comment in it cuz that will only cause chaos.

- If you want people to comment on your picture (postive and negative) then you make a topic of your own

- Threads like the 'Make-up experiments' one ARE allowed as long as you keep the commenting (and quoting of pics) to a minimum. It's so annoying to have to scroll through a thread and see the same pictures over and over again.


If you decide to break these simple rules then your thread will be removed or your comments deleted.
We're sorry it has to be this way but this is how the 'Your Pics' area was intented to be run in the first place.

Mother Earth and Pleasure Zone

Those might give you the impression both areas contain similar stuff.
Here's what belongs where:

Pleasure Zone:
Games: links to games and online quizzes
Neverending threads: like "what are you doing / eating / thinking right now"
Birthday threads
Funny links / pics

Mother Earth:
Problems you have to deal with, your allday life
Things that bug you, politics, family, friends, news

Concluding the Pleasure Zone is a fun area whereas Mother Earth is more a place  for serious discussions.
